Occupiers lose 18 people, 12 units of equipment in attempt to extend foothold near Kupyansk – Khortytsia Group
On Monday, December 23, the Russian occupiers made an unsuccessful attempt to extend their foothold on the left bank of the Oskil River, Kharkiv region, on the Kupyansk axis, covered by rain and fog, the press service of the Khortytsia Group of Operational and Strategic Forces has said on Tuesday.
"The mechanized advance of the occupation army was conducted in two waves and lasted almost the whole day. Thanks to the joint actions of the defense forces, the enemy assault attempt was repelled and the enemy's equipment was burned. As a result of coordinated work of the units, twelve units of armored vehicles and infantry were hit and destroyed," it said on the Telegram channel.
In particular, 18 enemy soldiers were liquidated and six were wounded. One BMP-2 vehicle and two tanks were destroyed, eight BMP-2 vehicles and one tank were damaged.
