Intelligence Agency destroys two Russian helicopters near Crimea with Magura V5 drones
Special forces of the Main Intelligence Agency of the Ministry of Defense of Ukraine on Tuesday, December 31, 2024, for the first time in military history, destroyed two Russian Mi-8 helicopters using Magura V5 attack sea drones equipped with missile weapons, the press service of the Agency reported.
"According to updated data, as a result of a successful operation of the Main Intelligence Agency of the Ministry of Defense of Ukraine in the Black Sea near the temporarily occupied Crimea on December 31, 2024, special forces of the Group 13 unit destroyed two Russian Mi-8 helicopters using Magura V5 sea drones equipped with missiles," the Main Intelligence Agency said in a message on Telegram on Thursday.
According to preliminary information, the crews of the said enemy aircraft were also eliminated.
It is reported that another Russian helicopter was hit by fire and managed to land damaged.
