The Verkhovna Rada of Ukraine on Thursday passed a law on basic military training, MP Oleksiy Honcharenko (European Solidarity faction) has said.
According to his Telegram channel, 298 MPs backed bill No. 12076.
Honcharenko noted that the adoption of basic military training for women will be only voluntary and after that they can also be placed on the military register only voluntarily.
In addition, this bill allows young men who are now turning 18 abroad to register without coming to Ukraine.
