Special Operations Forces kill 18 North Korean fighters in Kursk region
Soldiers of the Special Operations Forces (SOF) of the Armed Forces of Ukraine repelled the assault of North Korean troops, which lasted from morning till night in Kursk region of the Russian Federation.
According to the press service of the SЩF, the rangers of the 6th regiment killed 17 North Korean soldiers, and one of them blew himself up with a grenade.
"In the early morning, a group of the SOF mopping-up moved out which came across one surviving North Korean fighter. He set an unsuccessful trap for the rangers of the 6th regiment. A North Korean fighter tried to deceive the soldiers of the SOF and explode with them on a grenade. When the rangers approached him, he blew himself up," the report says.
The soldiers of the SOF noticed the danger in time and quickly left the affected area. "No one was injured. We are working further," the SOF said.
