Zelenskyy: If half army goes home tomorrow, Putin to kill us all
Martial law requires the mobilization of people and all resources, so we need to force Russia to end this war faster, if half the army goes home tomorrow, Vladimir Putin will kill all Ukrainians, Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskyy believes.
He said there are requests for demobilization, but they are not provided for by law.
"That is, martial law requires the mobilization of people and all resources that are in the country. Absolutely everyone. And this, unfortunately, is the challenge of this war, and therefore we need to speed it up as much as possible to end it, force Russia to end this war," Zelenskyy said in an interview with Italian journalist Cecilia Sala, who was released from Iranian captivity on January 8.
"We are defending ourselves today. If tomorrow, for example, half the army simply goes home, then we should have surrendered on the first day. That's right. Because if tomorrow half the people go home, Putin will kill us all," the president said.
