Putin doesn’t demand stopping aid to Ukraine – Trump

US President Donald Trump has said the aid to Ukraine was not discussed in his conversation with Putin, Trump said on Fox News' The Ingraham Angle show on Tuesday.

When the host said that Kremlin media had already reported that Putin demanded an immediate end to aid to Ukraine in order to get to this multi-stage agreement, Trump responded negatively.

“No, we didn’t talk about the aid, actually. We didn’t talk about the aid at all. We talked about a lot of things, but the aid was never discussed,” Trump said.

The American president also mentioned the US interest in Russian reserves of rare earth minerals.

To the host's reference to the criticism that Trump has faced since 2015, that he has more in common with Putin than with globalist leaders, perhaps with some NATO leaders, and in this case with Zelenskyy. “You are both nationalists,” the presenter said, referring to Trump and Putin.

“Well, I am a nationalist, but I am the nationalist of the United States, not for anybody else. And it’s interesting because none has been tougher on Russia than me. I am the one who pointed out to Nord Stream 2 and I stopped it. I stopped it its track. It wasn't anything particular, it was the biggest project they'd ever had. I stopped it,” Trump stated.
