Rada delegation discusses security cooperation with Japanese colleagues
The delegation of the Verkhovna Rada and representatives of the lower and upper houses of the Japanese parliament discussed issues of cooperation in the field of security.
“Tokyo, Japan … The visit commenced with discussions involving representatives of both chambers of Parliament — Speaker of the House of Representatives, Fukushiro Nukaga, and President of the House of Councillors, Masakazu Sekiguchi … A crucial point of discussion was security collaboration. With Japan's evolving security policy, we underscored the importance of expanding dialogue on the Three Principles on Arms Exports to enhance defense cooperation between our nations,» head of the Verkhovna Rada delegation, Halyna Mykhayliuk (Servant of the People faction), reported on Facebook on Tuesday.
According to Mykhayliuk, the deputies also presented their Japanese colleagues with the Victory Plan - a Ukrainian strategy for achieving a just peace, which is based on two key elements: "strengthening sanctions and further isolation of Russia" and increasing military aid and long-term security guarantees for Ukraine.
