Ukraine’s MFA holds talk with Chinese ambassador about participation of its citizens in war on Russian side
The Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Ukraine on Tuesday invited Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of the People's Republic of China to Ukraine Ma Shengkun to a meeting, the reason for which was the data on the participation of Chinese citizens in hostilities on the side of Russia, as well as the cooperation of Chinese companies with the military-industrial complex of the Russian Federation.
"The facts of the participation of Chinese citizens in hostilities against Ukraine on the side of the aggressor state, as well as the involvement of Chinese companies in the production of military products in Russia cause serious concern and contradict the spirit of partnership relations between Ukraine and the PRC," Deputy Minister of Foreign Affairs Yevhen Perebyinis emphasized.
Ukrainian special services provided the Chinese side with evidence of the aforementioned facts. In this regard, Perebyinis called on the Chinese side to take measures to stop Russia's support for its aggression against Ukraine, the absence of which Beijing has repeatedly stated.
He also emphasized that Ukraine values the strategic partnership with China and hopes that in the future China will refrain from steps that could harm bilateral relations.
