Vance after meeting with Zelenskyy: Our countries share goal of ending unnecessary bloodshed in Ukraine
Vice President J.D. Vance said after Sunday's meeting with President Volodymyr Zelenskyy in Rome that the US shares the goal of stopping unnecessary bloodshed in Ukraine.
“This afternoon, Secretary Rubio and I met with President Zelenskyy. Our countries share the goal of ending unnecessary bloodshed in Ukraine, and we discussed updates on the ongoing negotiations for a ceasefire and lasting peace,” he wrote on the social network X on Monday night.
As reported, in Rome, Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskyy met with US Vice President JD Vance and US Secretary of State Marco Rubio, the press service of the head of state reports.
Zelenskyy called the conditions put forward by Russia at the talks in Istanbul unrealistic.
