Zelenskyy: Let's not forget what Moscow is, what evil comes from there for Ukrainians of modern, past generations
President Volodymyr Zelenskyy called "symbolic" the commemoration of the victims of political repressions at the same time as the intensification of diplomatic efforts by Ukraine and partners to stop Russian aggression.
"It is very symbolic that the commemoration of the victims of political repressions is taking place today at the same time as our partners have maximally intensified diplomatic efforts to stop Russian aggression, to return all our people from Russian captivity and to guarantee real peace," he wrote on Telegram.
The President noted that "we do not forget what Moscow is and what evil came from there for Ukrainians of modern generations and those who came before us." According to him, the independence and sovereignty of the Ukrainian state is the basis for the preservation of the Ukrainian people. Freedom for Ukrainians and Ukrainian culture can be ensured only by guaranteeing reliable protection from Russia.
"These days, all meetings and negotiations were dedicated to security and peace for Ukraine. I’m grateful to everyone in the world who helps Ukraine. Eternal memory to our people, whose lives were taken by the Russian repressive system. We will definitely protect our state and people! Glory to Ukraine!" Zelenskyy summed up.
