Trump believes that the use of sanctions against Russia by USA could harm peace settlement
US President Donald Trump is hesitant to impose sanctions on Russia at this time because he believes they could hurt peace talks, he said at an event honoring law enforcement in the Oval Office on Monday.
At the same time, Trump does not definitively rule out the use of sanctions.
Trump told reporters that by imposing sanctions one could also make things much worse, but assumed that the time may come when imposing sanctions will happen.
At the same time, he stressed that he continues to believe in Putin's desire to end the war.
