Defense forces shoot down 22 out of 76 enemy drones during the night, another 41 lost from location

On Wednesday night, Ukrainian defenders shot down 63 Shahed-type attack drones, as well as drones of other types, launched by Russian occupiers, the Telegram channel of the Air Force of the Armed Forces of Ukraine reports.

"As of 09:00, the air defense neutralized 63 enemy Shahed-type UAVs (drones of other types) in the east, north and center of the country. Twenty-two were shot down by fire weapons, 41 were lost/suppressed by electronic warfare (without negative consequences)," the report says.

The air attack was repelled by aviation, anti-aircraft missile forces, electronic warfare units, unmanned systems, and mobile fire groups of the Ukrainian Defense Forces.

In total, the occupiers attacked Ukraine on the night of May 21 (from 00:30 on May 21) with 76 Shahed-type attack UAVs and drone imitators of various types from the directions: Kursk, Orel, Bryansk of the Russian Federation.

As a result of the enemy attack, Kharkiv and Sumy regions suffered.
