On Monday night, the Russian invaders launched nine X-101 air-launched cruise missiles over Ukraine, as well as 355 Shahed strike UAVs and imitator drones of various types, the Telegram channel of the Air Force of the Armed Forces of Ukraine reported.

"As of 11:00, air defenses shot down all nine X-101 cruise missiles, neutralized 288 enemy Shahed UAVs and drones of other types in the east, north, south, west and center of the country. Some 233 were shot down by fire weapons, and 55 were lost/suppressed by electronic warfare," the report said.

This number of drones launched per day was the largest since the beginning of the Russian-Ukrainian war. Previously, the largest number of drones launched by the Russian Federation over Ukraine in one day was recorded on the night of May 25, 2025 - then Russian troops launched 298 strike drones and 69 missiles over Ukraine, of which 266 drones and 45 missiles were shot down.

On the night of May 26, according to the Air Force, enemy air attack means hit five locations, as well as downed attack UAVs fell in ten locations. There were no reports of casualties or injuries as a result of the hits.

"The air attack was repelled by aviation, anti-aircraft missile troops, electronic warfare and unmanned systems units, and mobile fire groups of the Defense Forces of Ukraine," the Air Force reported.
