Turkey fully supports territorial integrity, sovereignty of Ukraine – Foreign Minister
Turkey fully supports the territorial integrity, independence and sovereignty of Ukraine, Turkish Foreign Minister Hakan Fidan stressed.
"We fully support the territorial integrity, independence and sovereignty of Ukraine. We are focused on stopping the destruction and humanitarian tragedy caused by the war, wherever the negotiations take place," Fidan said at a joint press conference with his Ukrainian counterpart Andriy Sybiha in Kyiv on Friday.
The Turkish foreign minister stressed that Turkey is closely following the developments regarding the Crimean Tatar people.
"Turkey will always support the Crimean Tatars. The eighty-first anniversary of the deportation of the Crimean Tatar people was commemorated on May 18. On this occasion, we once again remember our compatriots who died in exile," Fidan emphasized.
