Air defense destroys all four Kinzhal missiles, 479 enemy targets out of 499 downed

On the night of June 9, the Russian occupiers attacked the territory of Ukraine with 499 air attack weapons, the press service of the Air Force of the Armed Forces of Ukraine reports.

According to the message on the Telegram channel, among the means used by the Russians were 479 Shahed-type strike UAVs and various types of simulator drones, four X-47 M2 Kinzhal aeroballistic missiles, three X-22 cruise missiles, two X-31P anti-radiation missiles and one X-35 cruise missile.

"According to preliminary data, as of 10:30, air defenses neutralized 479 enemy air attack weapons, 292 were shot down by fire, and 187 were lost by location," the report states.

Among the destroyed targets, 277 enemy Shahed UAVs were shot down by fire, 183 were lost by location/suppressed by electronic warfare. Ten X-101 cruise missiles, four X-47 M2 Kinzhal aeroballistic missiles, two X-22 cruise missiles (which did not reach their targets due to lost location), two X-31P anti-radar missiles, and one X-35 cruise missile were also neutralized.

Enemy attacked 10 locations, and debris fell in 17 locations.

The air attack was repelled by aviation, anti-aircraft missile troops, electronic warfare and unmanned systems units, and mobile fire groups of the Defense Forces of Ukraine.
