Lithuanian Foreign Minister arrives in Kyiv on working visit

Minister of Foreign Affairs Kęstutis Budrys arrived in Kyiv on a working visit on Monday, June 9.

According to the Lithuanian Foreign Ministry, Budrys will meet with Ukrainian Foreign Minister Andriy Sybiha, Deputy Prime Minister for European and Euro-Atlantic Integration and Minister of Justice Olha Stefanishyna, Minister of Strategic Industries Herman Smetanin, and Secretary of the National Defense and Security Council Oleksandr Lytvynenko.

During the visit, the Lithuanian Foreign Minister is also scheduled to meet with Head of the Presidential Office Andriy Yermak and Minister of Defense Rustem Umerov.

It is noted that with members of the Ukrainian government and senior officials, the minister will discuss the situation on the front lines, international efforts to pressure Russia to cease fire and declare a ceasefire as an indispensable condition for the start of peace talks. The meetings will also discuss security guarantees for Ukraine, priorities for military, diplomatic, financial and humanitarian support, Ukraine's progress in the process of integration with the EU, as well as measures to deter and counter Russia.

This is Budrys' third visit to Ukraine since taking office as Minister of Foreign Affairs of Lithuania. The head of Lithuanian diplomacy last visited Ukraine on April 1, 2025.
