US assistance continues to flow, talks underway to purchase American weapons – Foreign Ministry

Aid packages from the United States are currently arriving in Ukraine, and there is also an active conversation with Washington about purchasing American weapons, Foreign Ministry spokesman Heorhiy Tykhy has said.

"Ukraine is conducting an active dialogue with the United States regarding the purchase of American weapons.

Ukraine is ready to purchase American weapons, including air defense, Patriot, and other means that we have been receiving from the United States all these years," he said at a briefing in Kyiv on Tuesday.

The spokesman expressed gratitude to the United States for all the assistance provided.

"We are ready to purchase American weapons, from various sources, from various resources, financing. And this dialogue is actively going on between Ukraine and the United States," the Foreign Ministry’s spokesman added. .

Answering the question of whether aid packages are currently arriving from the United States, the spokesman said: "As far as I know, they are currently arriving."

"Active talks" with the US about purchasing weapons are relevant, including, by the way, within the framework of the fund created under the agreement on mineral resources," Tykhy said.
