Klitschko approves UAH 2 bn increase in capital budget expenditures for AFU

Kyiv Mayor Vitaliy Klitschko has issued instructions to allocate an additional UAH 2 billion in the capital's budget to support the Armed Forces of Ukraine.
"The document is already in the final stages of development and will be submitted to the hall for discussion and approval in the near future," Klitschko wrote in the Telegram channel.
In addition, at the Kyiv City Council meeting, a decision was made to finance the needs of defenders with UAH 500 million, which were additionally allocated at the last meeting.
"The project includes financing from the city budget those UAH 500 million, the allocation of which we approved under the Defender of Kyiv program at the last meeting," Klitschko explained.
Also, at today's session of the Kyiv City Council, changes were made to the program of economic and social development and the budget of the capital, which, in particular, provide for financing the construction and arrangement of protective structures, preparation for the next heating season and the new school year, financing the renovation and construction of transport infrastructure facilities, including the metro to Vynohradar, the purchase of rolling stock for municipal public transport, major repairs of departments in the capital's hospitals and the purchase of medical equipment.
