Sybiha: Exactly 100 days after Ukraine agreed to a ceasefire, Russia continues to reject US proposal

In a week, it will be exactly one hundred days since Ukraine agreed to the US proposal for a ceasefire, while Russia continues to reject this proposal from Washington, Ukrainian Foreign Minister Andriy Sybiha has stressed.
During a joint statement to the press with his colleagues on the sidelines of the Weimar+ ministerial meeting in Rome, Sybiga said that he would inform the allies about the current situation on the battlefield, Russian strikes against civilians, and the lack of constructiveness on the part of the Russian side regarding peace efforts.
"In a week, it will be exactly one hundred days since Ukraine agreed to the US proposal for a ceasefire. Russia continues to reject this proposal. Putin is still avoiding a meeting with Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky. Instead, Russia presented a set of old and unrealistic ultimatums in Istanbul," he said.
The minister emphasized that the Russians have not changed their rhetoric, "once again demonstrating globally, to the whole world, their inadequacy."
"And this despite the fact that the US expected these proposals to be feasible and realistic," he noted.
Sybiha stressed that "all this shows that appeasement diplomacy does not work on Russia," and Moscow continues to disdain the world's peace efforts.
"The time has come for pressure diplomacy. Only pressure can force Russia to seek peace. Economic, military and political pressure," he said.
