German media publishes list of weapons, military equipment that Ukraine allegedly requests from Germany

There is a certain list of military equipment that Ukraine has requested from Germany, the tabloid Bild reported on Sunday, citing its own sources in military and industrial circles.

"Military circles and industry confirmed to BILD the existence of this list. The Federal Ministry of Defense, on the other hand, remained silent in response to our request," the publication writes.

"For reasons of military security and in view of the German government's new line of communication in support of Ukraine, we do not answer questions about individual support services," a spokesman for the department told BILD.

According to Bild, the list is divided into three categories: air defense, protected vehicles and electronic warfare equipment.

"According to the list, the Ukrainian government led by President Volodymyr Zelenskyy is interested in four new Iris-T firing systems. To this end, it is asking Berlin for 1,500 guided missiles for the Iris-T SLM medium-range system and 500 guided missiles for the Iris-T SLS short-range system. In addition, there are 200,000 40-mm anti-aircraft ammunition to protect against Russian drones," the Bild article says.

In addition, in the field of protected transportation of military personnel and automotive equipment, Ukraine has asked the Merz government to supply 1,000 mine-clearing vehicles and 200 tracked vehicles in various modifications. In addition, there are 30 armored demining vehicles and 20 to 30 armored engineering vehicles WiSENT.

"According to the list available to BILD, Kyiv has also requested 200 all-terrain vehicles from Berlin to transport special forces," the publication notes.

Also, according to Bild, Ukraine is asking Germany for support in the field of electronic warfare against the Russian military. This requires 1,000 GPS jammers to protect against enemy drones and 200 mobile ground radars to monitor and capture targets.

The author of the article about the secret list, Bild columnist Julian Röpcke, points out that "there is not a single tank in the current secret list of Ukraine's demands to the German government." He wrote about this on the X platform on Sunday.

In the same article, Röpcke notes that since Chancellor Merz took office and the formation of the black-red coalition, the German government has not published any information about new arms deliveries. The official explanation is "to keep Putin in the dark."

"Ukraine is also adhering to this secret agreement so as not to alienate its biggest supporter," Röpcke suggests.
