A rally is taking place in Kyiv against bill No. 12414 adopted by the Verkhovna Rada, which limits the independence of the National Anti-Corruption Bureau (NABU) and the Specialized Anti-Corruption Prosecutor's Office (SAPO).

As reported by an Interfax-Ukraine correspondent, as of 20:00, about 500 participants had gathered on Ivan Franko Square near Ivan Franko Kyiv National Theater, and people continue to actively approach.

Participants of the rally are holding posters that read: "Here we are again," "Enough lawlessness," "Are you completely out of your mind," "12414 – disgrace," "How did we suddenly end up back in 2013," "You will hear us," "Yanukovych ended badly," "I do not want to join the customs union" and others.

Participants in the action chant: "Veto the law," "No corruption in power," "Shame," "Hands off NABU" and "Bring Europe back."

No facts of public order violations or provocations have been observed at the moment.

According to the idea of the initiator of the action, veteran Dmytro Koziatynsky, who previously announced it on his social networks, this area is currently the closest location to the building of the President's Office due to security conditions.

"As a veteran, it is important for me that my initiative is supported primarily by ordinary, caring citizens. Therefore, I ask political parties and figures to refrain from supporting this action. Therefore, let's agree that the action will be held without symbols and speakers who want to express their opinions," he said, noting that it is important for the president to veto this law.

Among the participants of the action, you can meet veterans, public figures and public figures.

The security of the action is provided by several dozen law enforcement officers, in particular the Dialogue Police of the Main Directorate of the National Police in Kyiv. In addition, police cars are parked on the surrounding streets.
