American company Axon ready to exchange expertise with Ukraine in countering UAVs
Deputy Minister of Defense of Ukraine Serhiy Boev has held talks with the founder and CEO of the American company Axon Rick Smith and CEO of Dedrone Aaditya Devarakonda.
As reported by the Ministry of Defense, the leaders of the American company Axon arrived in Kyiv with a proposal to cooperate with Ukrainian manufacturers and exchange expertise with Ukraine in the field of countering UAVs.
"Ukraine has faced serious challenges in countering enemy UAVs to protect the population, so we are most interested in electronic warfare technologies and interceptor drones. We are already working with Ukrainian companies to scale up production, but we continue to search for new solutions," Boev said.
During the talks, the parties discussed the technical characteristics of Ukrainian needs and the terms of cooperation regarding the possible exchange of experience and information.
American entrepreneurs emphasized that the world has something to learn from Ukraine in the practical use of drones. They, as representatives of a large technology company, are also interested in this experience.
"Our proposal today is not about business, but about the issue of protecting people. We are inspired by the Ukrainian military and the technologies they use, so it is an honor for us to work together and adopt this experience," Smith said.
