EU confirms emergency foreign ministers meeting on upcoming Trump-Putin talks
The European Union has officially confirmed the holding of an extraordinary meeting of the European Council on Foreign Affairs, convened by High Representative Kaia Kallas in connection with the upcoming talks between US President Donald Trump and Vladimir Putin.
The corresponding announcement of the meeting, which will be held on August 11 in a video conference format, was published on Monday on the European Council website. No other details are contained in the message.
At the same time, it is known that the meeting, to which Ukrainian Foreign Minister Andriy Sybiha has also been invited, will begin at 4:00 p.m. A press conference is not planned.
Earlier, Reuters reported that the extraordinary meeting was convened precisely because of the meeting between Trump and Putin, which will be held on August 15 in Alaska.
