Zelenskyy says there is chance for peace now, but it must be fair, sustainable; security must be guaranteed
President of Ukraine Volodymyr Zelenskyy had a call with the Crown Prince of the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia, Muhammad bin Salman Al Saud, on Monday.
"I spoke with the Crown Prince of the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia, Muhammad bin Salman Al Saud. I am grateful for the support. I informed about contacts with partners, our diplomatic work to end the war. In fact, communication with the leaders continues around the clock, we are in constant contact. Now is the time when there is a real chance to achieve peace. But peace must be fair and sustainable, and security must be guaranteed. This is important not only for Ukraine – for every European country," Zelenskyy said on Telegram.
According to the head of state, the parties equally see the danger in any decisions made without Ukraine and Europe.
"I thank Muhammad bin Salman Al Saud for his absolutely clear support for this position and for his willingness to make efforts for peace. We agreed that our teams would coordinate all necessary efforts. We also talked about joint projects that would give strength to both of our states. Our teams will work on all the details," the president said.
