Syrsky: We have certain success in liberating Ukrainian land in Sumy axis
The Armed Forces of Ukraine are holding back the enemy at the front, in particular in Sumy direction, they are conducting active operations and achieving success in advancing and liberating Ukrainian territories, said Commander-in-Chief of the Armed Forces of Ukraine Oleksandr Syrsky.
"It's hard. But we are holding back the enemy. We are conducting active operations in Sumy direction and have had certain successes in moving forward, in liberating Ukrainian land," he wrote on Facebook following the meeting of the Supreme Commander-in-Chief's Headquarters.
According to Syrsky, units participating in combat operations will receive additional funding. "According to the President's instructions, each brigade will have an additional UAH 7 million for each battalion participating in combat operations," he noted.
The Commander-in-Chief reported that decisions are being prepared on other needs and issues that were raised during working visits to the troops.
He also noted that unnecessary bureaucracy is being removed from the army. "The procedure for awarding soldiers who have earned the highest awards will be improved and simplified to avoid unnecessary red tape. The Headquarters also agreed on the need to reduce and digitalize the process of writing off property," Syrsky wrote, adding that changes to the relevant documents from the government are expected.
