Budanov inspects positions at Snake island, gas production platforms in Black Sea
Head of the Main Intelligence Agency (GUR) of the Ministry of Defense of Ukraine, Kyrylo Budanov, checked the positions of the fighters of the special forces unit Tymur on the Snake island and gas production platforms in the Black Sea, the press service of the Main Intelligence Agency of the Ministry of Defense reports.
"The head of Military Intelligence inspected the forces and means involved in the defense of the water area, in particular the so-called towers, which, as a result of successful operations by the Main Intelligence Agency of the Ministry of Defense and other components of the Security and Defense Forces, were returned under the legal control of Ukraine," the message posted on the Telegram channel says.
In addition, as part of his trip to the Black Sea region, Budanov held a meeting with officers regarding further actions within the framework of the overall strategy, and also awarded the GUR fighters from the Tymur special forces unit for their professionalism and bravery in defending our state in the conditions of the war with Russia in the Black Sea.
Budanov also honored the soldiers who died during the liberation of the island and the Ukrainian territorial waters of the Black Sea from Russian occupiers.
"Honor to the fighters of the Main Intelligence Agency and all the Security and Defense Forces of Ukraine! Our effective fight against the aggressor at sea, on land and in the sky has proven to the whole world that a united Ukrainian nation is capable of defeating even a stronger enemy. No matter what anyone says, the future of Ukraine depends only on us. The fight continues," Budanov emphasized.
