European Solidarity urges Rada speaker to discuss front situation at conciliation council
European Solidarity has called on the Speaker of the Verkhovna Rada, Ruslan Stefanchuk, to immediately discuss the situation on the front at the conciliation council of heads of parliamentary factions and committees, the faction's co-chair Iryna Gerashchenko said.
European Solidarity appealed to the Chairman of the Verkhovna Rada to immediately convene a conciliation council with the participation of the Verkhovna Rada leadership, leaders of parliamentary factions, to which the Minister of Defense, the leadership of the General Staff, the State Security Service of Ukraine (SBU) and the Special Forces should be invited to discuss the real situation on the front and determine the priority operational steps to strengthen the Armed Forces of Ukraine and provide combat units," Gerashchenko wrote in Telegram on Tuesday.
She said that she is confident that on the eve of the meeting in Alaska with US President Donald Trump, Putin will use the tactics of intensifying hostilities, advancing the enemy, provocations, pressure, and degrading the security situation in order to use this as trump cards in negotiations.
"Our units must be strengthened and have everything necessary for the defense and protection of the state, the Verkhovna Rada of Ukraine at such a crucial time cannot rest and stand aside from issues of state security. It is time to return the agency of parliament," Gerashchenko emphasized.
