Sybiha expects clearer understanding of parameters of security guarantees from meeting in Washington, approach of Zelenskyy-Putin-Trump meeting
Further progress, a clearer understanding of the parameters of future guarantees, and the approach of a meeting in the trilateral format of Zelenskyy-Putin-Trump, possibly with the participation of other leaders of Ukraine's allies - these are the main expectations from the meeting between President Donald Trump and Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskyy in Washington on Monday, Foreign Minister Andriy Sybiha said.
"The moment we find ourselves in ... allows us to say that the maximum mobilization of diplomatic efforts today gives us a chance to bring a just and dignified peace closer to Ukraine," he said at the presentation of the draft Government Action Program in Kyiv on Monday.
Sybiha specified that an understanding of the agenda of the trilateral meeting and its time frame is expected from the meeting in Washington.
The head of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs emphasized that all of Ukraine's allies share Kyiv's vision of the ways and formula for ending this crude Russian aggression.
