Russia shells Donetsk region 32 times, kills 5 civilians

Five civilians from the cities of Kostiantynivka, Novodonetsky and Dobropillia in Donetsk region died on Monday as a result of shelling by Russian occupiers, seven more people in the region were injured in the past 24 hours and 3,860 people, including 183 children, were evacuated from the front line, Regional Military Administration head Vadym Filashkin has said.

"Operational situation in the region as of the morning of August 19. Pokrovsky district. In Dobropillia, one person was killed and three injured, three high-rise buildings, an administrative building and a shop were damaged… In Novodonetsky, one person was killed, a high-rise building and seven private houses were damaged, one more house was damaged in Stepanivka… In Kostiantynivka, three people were killed and four injured, seven high-rise buildings, 19 private houses, two administrative buildings, a restaurant and a power line were damaged," he said on Telegram.

According to information, three outbuildings were damaged in Kramatorsk district, and in Slovansk, a person was injured, industrial buildings were damaged. In Siversk (Bakhmutsky district) three houses were damaged.

According to Filashkin, in just 24 hours, the Russians shelled the settlements of the Donetsk region 32 times. 3,860 people were evacuated from the front line, including 183 children, which is more than on Sunday, when 520 people were evacuated, including 80 children. On Saturday, 684 people were evacuated from the front line, including 123 children.
