Ukrainian SOF seriously wound Russian general in Kursk region

Special Operations Forces (SOF) operators have seriously wounded Lieutenant General of the Russian Army Esedulla Abachev in Kursk region.

"Esedulla Abachev, Lieutenant General of the Russian Armed Forces, was seriously wounded as a result of special operations by the Special Operations Forces. The fire damage to the car of the deputy commander of the North Group of Forces of the Russian Armed Forces was carried out by the UA_REG TEAM unit of SOF. This happened on the night of August 17.5 kilometers from the city of Rylsk, Kursk region," SOF said on Telegram on Wednesday.

According to available information, as a result of the wounding of the general of the enemy army, his arm and leg were amputated. He was urgently transported by plane to Moscow.

As noted, in 2023, the Ukrainian prosecutor's office submitted charges against Esedulla Abachev to the court. "With the beginning of the full-scale Russian invasion, Abachev commanded the so-called "2nd Army Corps of the People's Militia of the LPR". He directly gave orders to bomb and destroy settlements in the Luhansk region," SOF said.
