Director busted for supplying substandard butter to National Guard – SBI

Employees of the State Bureau of Investigation (SBI) have exposed the director of one of the enterprises, who organized the supply of low-quality butter for the needs of the soldiers of the National Guard of Ukraine.
"According to the investigation, the official concluded contracts for the supply of products to military units that did not meet the established standards. In order to make money on counterfeit butter, the figurehead used "fake" guarantee documents regarding the quality of the products. According to this scheme, the official planned to supply the soldiers with 250 tonnes of low-quality butter worth tens of millions of hryvnias," the report on the agency's website said on Monday.
The director of the enterprise has now been notified of suspicion of fraud and the use of knowingly forged documents (Part 5 of Article 190 of the Criminal Code of Ukraine; Part 4 of Article 358 of the Criminal Code of Ukraine). The issue of choosing a preventive measure is being resolved.
The official faces up to 12 years in prison with confiscation of property for the crime.
