Ministry of Development, Habitat for Humanity in Ukraine launch joint project on inventory of buildings to create affordable housing

The Ministry of Development of Communities and Territories and the international organization Habitat for Humanity International in Ukraine have begun cooperation in the direction of providing housing for internally displaced persons.
According to the signed memorandum, the joint project will last a year and involves mapping and classifying up to 1,000 real estate objects, preparing 10-15 investment cases with calculations and reconstruction concepts, as well as creating practical tools for local authorities.
The collected data will be integrated into a digital information and analytical system for IDPs, which will ensure transparency in the provision of housing assistance.
The final stage of the project should be a national seminar with a presentation of the results and an investment pool for partners.
As noted in the release, the government has already adopted the necessary resolutions to conduct a large-scale property inventory, but the implementation of this process requires the involvement of international experience and technical support.
