Ambassadors of G7 countries respond positively to meeting with Economy Ministry leadership
A group of ambassadors of the G7 countries in Ukraine gave a positive assessment of the meeting at the renewed Ministry of Economy, Environment and Agriculture headed by Oleksiy Sobolev on key economic priorities, promoting reforms and strengthening the business climate.
"Productive meeting with Minister of Economy Sobolev and the Ministry of Economy to discuss key priorities of the newly merged ministry, advancing the reform agenda, and strengthening the business climate to enable new investment and accelerate Ukraine’s Euro-Atlantic integration," according to a post on the official account of the G7 Ambassadors' Representation on the social network X on Wednesday.
As reported, the Ministry of Economy, Environment and Agriculture of Ukraine was established on July 21, 2025 by renaming the Ministry of Economy of Ukraine and merging the functions of the Ministry of Agrarian Policy and Food of Ukraine and the Ministry of Environmental Protection and Natural Resources of Ukraine. The Cabinet of Ministers of Ukraine adopted a corresponding resolution, which provides for the liquidation of the previous departments and the transfer of their powers to the new united ministry.
Oleksiy Sobolev was appointed Minister of Economy, Environment and Agriculture.
