Casualties in latest Russian attack on Kyiv rises to 48, including 10 fatalities – Kyiv officials

As of 09:34, the number of victims of the Russian attack on Kyiv has increased to 48 people, with 10 deaths reported, the press service of the Kyiv City Military Administration has said.

"The number of victims has increased to 48. Of these, 10 are dead," the KCMA said on Telegram on Thursday morning.

As reported by the press service of the Kyiv City Prosecutor's Office, in general, the consequences of the morning attack are recorded in eight districts of the capital - Darnytsky, Dniprovsky, Solomiansky, Shevchenkivsky, Holosiivsky, Obolonsky, Sviatoshynskyi and Desnianskyi districts.

"In Darnytsky district, part of a 5-story building was destroyed, a rescue operation is currently underway. People are being searched for under the rubble. Windows in high-rise buildings were also broken and cars were damaged. Private houses were damaged," the message says.

According to the prosecutor's office, as of 9:30 a.m., as a result of the combined attack on Kyiv on August 28, 2025, 10 people were killed, including one child. More than 30 people were injured, including four children and a teenager.

Rescuers and law enforcement officers are working at the scene of the destruction and are recording the consequences of another war crime by the Russian military.

The pre-trial investigation is being conducted by investigators of the Main Directorate of the Security Service of Ukraine in Kyiv and Kyiv region.
