The Ukrainian Red Cross Society (URCS) worked with the State Emergency Service at the scene of the Russian attack in the Sviatoshynsky district of the capital.

"Kyiv was once again subjected to massive shelling last night. For example, at one location, volunteers from the rapid response unit of the URCS, together with rescuers, evacuated an elderly man from the 5th floor of a damaged five-story building," URCS reported on Facebook on Sunday.

Together with representatives of other rescue services, volunteers evacuated the bodies of two deceased people. First aid was provided to four victims.

A URCS aid point is currently operating here, where residents of damaged buildings and rescuers can charge their mobile devices, drink tea or water, and receive first psychological aid.

A team from the URCS rapid response unit in the Kyiv region is working at another location. A help point has been set up there. Volunteers provide first aid and psychological assistance if necessary, and also support the work of rescuers.

Volunteers from the Svyatoshynsky District Organization of URCS were also involved in the response.

According to the State Emergency Service of Ukraine, two people were killed, including a child, and 20 others were injured as a result of a massive Russian air strike on Kyiv. Residential buildings were damaged. State Emergency Service aircraft were involved in extinguishing the fire.
