Cabinet approves Govt's Action Program – Svyrydenko
The Cabinet of Ministers of Ukraine approved the Government's Action Program, Prime Minister Yulia Svyrydenko has said.
"Today, by a decision of the Cabinet of Ministers, the document was agreed upon and submitted for consideration by the Verkhovna Rada. In the program, we outlined 12 priorities: security and defense, European integration, anti-corruption, welfare, support for veterans, macrofinance and reforms, business, education and science, medicine and sports, reconstruction, winter stability, culture," Svyrydenko said n the Telegram channel.
According to her, the Government's Action Program is a plan for addressing key issues in these areas, strengthening defense capabilities, supporting the army, increasing domestic weapons production, ensuring the protection of citizens, developing the economy, and preparing for membership in the European Union.
"We presented our program on August 18 to MPs, international partners and representatives of think tanks. After that, we opened a collection of proposals for finalizing the document with the involvement of experts, public organizations, business and citizens," the prime minister said.
According to her, in total, the government received 683 proposals from public organizations, business associations, experts and active citizens.
"The largest number of appeals was addressed to the Ministry of Economy (184) and the Ministry of Community and Territorial Development (80). Most of the proposals were taken into account in full or in part, a significant part of them is already being implemented within the framework of existing programs and strategies. I thank everyone who participated in the creation of the program with constructive proposals. Now we are working to implement the planned," Svyrydenko said.
As reported, on August 18, the Cabinet of Ministers presented the draft Government Action Program. In particular, the draft document provided for 12 strategic priorities, the first of which is defense and security.
