Ukraine following Russian-Belarusian Zapad-2025 drills – Zelenskyy
Ukraine is monitoring the Russian-Belarusian military exercises Zapad-2025, which have already begun on the territory of Belarus, Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskyy said.
"Russian-Belarusian military exercises have already begun on the territory of Belarus. We are monitoring this in Ukraine. Our military is recording the movement of Russian equipment, the deployment of infrastructure," he said at a joint press conference with Finnish President Alexander Stubb in Kyiv.
According to Zelenskyy, "the meaning of such actions by the Russian Federation is definitely not defensive, and is definitely directed against not only Ukraine."
"Everyone in Europe feels that Russia, unfortunately, has the capacity to continue and expand its aggression, so strong steps are needed. Strong pressure. And not only from Europe," he added.
