Zelenskyy discusses with Danish Foreign Minister continuation of defense assistance
Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskyy met with Danish Foreign Minister Lars Løkke Rasmussen in Kyiv, with whom he discussed further defense support for Ukraine, as well as joint weapons production.
"We discussed further support for Ukraine with Danish Foreign Minister Lars Løkke Rasmussen. The continuation of defense assistance to Ukraine, Denmark's participation in the PURL initiative, joint weapons production, and support for Ukraine on its path to EU membership are among the most important issues," Zelenskyy said on Telegram on Friday.
He also discussed with Rasmussen the attack by Russian drones on Poland.
"The best response to aggression should be a joint strengthening of air defense and the creation of a reliable air shield over Europe," the president said.
In addition, he noted the need to increase sanctions pressure on Russia. Ukraine is waiting for the adoption of the 19th package of EU sanctions.
Zelenskyy thanked Denmark for its support.
