Cabinet instructs Ministry of Culture to protect cultural heritage of areas impacted by destruction of Kakhovka HPP

The Cabinet of Ministers instructed the Ministry of Culture and Strategic Communications, in coordination with the relevant cultural heritage protection bodies of the regional military administrations, to ensure measures to protect cultural heritage and cultural values ​​in the territories affected by the destruction of the Kakhovka hydroelectric power station.

Representative of the Cabinet of Ministers in the Verkhovna Rada Taras Melnychuk on Telegram said the relevant decision was made at a government meeting on Monday.

In particular, amendments were made to the order "On the creation of an interdepartmental coordination center for the preservation of cultural heritage and cultural values ​​in the territories affected by the destruction of the Kakhovka hydroelectric power station," which provides for the coordination of measures to preserve cultural heritage and cultural values ​​in the territories affected by the destruction of the Kakhovka hydroelectric power station as the main task of the Coordination Center.
