Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskyy has said 25 residential buildings were damaged as a result of Russian shelling on Monday night and confirmed information about three dead civilians.

“Guided air bombs hit civilian infrastructure, ordinary houses. 15 multi-storey and 10 private houses were damaged. As of now, three people have died. My condolences to their families,” Zelenskyy said on Telegram.

According to him, in Sumy, the occupiers damaged a bread-producing enterprise, a school and a kindergarten with a drone attack. One person was injured. The destruction of a school in Donetsk region was also recorded.

Zelenskyy reported that seven regions were under drone strikes at night. In total, more than 140 drones attacked Ukraine, some of which were Shahed UAVs.

“The UN General Assembly is actually starting its work: leaders will gather in New York. And this is the fourth time that Russia has accompanied one of the highest annual world diplomatic events with murders. That is why it is so important that this diplomatic week becomes effective. We must act so that murders and war do not become routine,” the head of state emphasized.

Zelenskyy noted the need for “really strong pressure” on the Russian Federation, new joint steps by “everyone in the world who believes that international law should work again.”

“Europe, the USA, the G7 and G20 countries - everyone who has real influence on Russia. Strong sanctions, strong political pressure, Russia’s responsibility for the war - all this is necessary. All this will happen,” the president said.
