Interior Minister on US support: Focus is on energy facilities protection
Minister of Internal Affairs of Ukraine Ihor Klymenko and U.S. Chargé d'Affaires ai in Ukraine Julia Davis discussed further support for the bodies of the Ministry of Internal Affairs system, the focus of which is the protection of energy infrastructure facilities of Ukraine in the autumn and winter period.
"Today I had a meaningful meeting with U.S. Chargé d'Ai in Ukraine Julia Davis. We discussed further support for the bodies of the Ministry of Internal Affairs system. Special attention was paid to the assistance received from the U.S. to protect energy infrastructure facilities in the autumn and winter period," the minister said in the Telegram channel on Tuesday.
He added: "It is obvious that the enemy will continue to strike at critical life-support facilities. This is a tactic of Russian terror against civilians, and we must be prepared for any scenarios."
According to Klymenko, thanks to Ukraine's efforts and partnership with the United States, there is an opportunity to strengthen the capabilities of the department in all areas of responsibility – from strengthening the border to protecting public safety and protecting people in communities.
