Stefanchuk, German Labor Minister discuss financial support for Ukraine
Verkhovna Rada Chairman Ruslan Stefanchuk and German Federal Minister of Labor and Social Affairs Bärbel Bas discussed the issue of long-term financial support for Ukraine.
"This conversation became an important part of my working visit to Berlin and confirmed that Ukraine and Germany remain reliable strategic partners. We discussed budget processes in both countries and the issue of long-term financial support for Ukraine. I emphasized the importance of consolidating the volume of aid from Germany for the next year, in particular in the defense and humanitarian spheres," Stefanchuk wrote on Facebook after meeting with Bas on Monday.
According to the speaker, the issue also concerned Ukrainians who found temporary shelter in Germany due to the war.
"I thanked the German government and society for their care and support. At the same time, I emphasized: we must counteract Russian information operations aimed at inciting hostility and discrediting Ukrainians abroad," Stefanchuk noted.
