The Fourth International Food Security Summit will be held in Kyiv in early November, Deputy Foreign Minister of Ukraine Mariana Betsa said.

"The fourth International Food Security Summit will be held in Ukraine in November. This event, held for the fourth year in a row, serves as a platform for dialogue and joint action, strengthens our solidarity, increases resilience and ensures access to food for the most vulnerable regions," she said at a joint briefing of the MFA and the UN Food and Agriculture Organization (FAO) dedicated to the 80th anniversary of the founding of the FAO on Monday.

Betsa invited representatives of foreign countries and organizations to participate in the summit. The Deputy Minister noted the important role of Ukraine in ensuring global food stability through the implementation of the initiative Grain from Ukraine of President of Ukraine Volodymyr Zelenskyy, which allowed delivering Ukrainian grain to the most vulnerable countries in Africa and Asia.

Betsa expressed gratitude to the states and international partners for their consistent support for Ukraine, in particular in restoring its agricultural potential, and also called for continued active involvement in further strengthening the sustainability of our country's food system.

As reported, the Third International Food Security Summit "Grain from Ukraine" was held in November 2024 in Kyiv.
