Emergency power outages hit Sumy, Kharkiv and parts of Cherkasy

Emergency outage schedules have been implemented in Sumy and Kharkiv regions, local distribution system operators (DSOs, regional energy operators) reported on Wednesday morning.

"At the instruction of NPC Ukrenergo, emergency outage schedules have been introduced in the Sumy region. Currently, outages are in effect for 1st, 2nd, and 3rd tiers of consumers," the message from Sumyoblenergo on its Telegram channel states, in particular.

Similar information was also posted by Kharkivoblenergo this morning.

In addition, Cherkasioblenergo reported on the partial application of EOTs on the morning of October 15.

At the same time, in Chernihiv region, according to the local regional power utility, an hourly outage schedule (HWS) is applied

Zaporizhiaoblenergo, Poltavaaoblenergo and the DTEK group also reported on the application of HWS in the morning regarding the situation with energy supply in the Dnipropetrovsk region, however, later all three companies informed about the cancellation of HWS in the territories of their regions.

As reported with reference to Ukrenergo, on October 14, emergency power outages were applied in Sumy, Kharkiv, Poltava, Dnipropetrovsk, as well as partially in Kirovohrad, Kyiv and Cherkasy regions.

In Zaporizhia region, only industrial consumers were emergency power outages.

In Chernihiv region, the distribution system operator applied three rounds of hourly outages.
