Estonian Foreign Minister Margus Tsahkna and his Dutch counterpart David van Weel discussed in Kyiv the creation of a special tribunal in The Hague to hold Russia accountable for the crime of aggression under the auspices of the Council of Europe.
“Great to reconnect with my esteemed colleague in Kyiv. Estonia and the Netherlands remain unwavering in our support for Ukraine. We also reaffirmed our commitment to establishing a special tribunal under the Council of Europe in The Hague to prosecute Russia’s crime of aggression. Every one of Russia’s crimes must have consequences,” Tsahkna said on X Tuesday.
As reported, van Weel announced his arrival in Ukraine on Tuesday. The day before, Tsahkna arrived in Kyiv and held a series of meetings, including with Ukrainian Foreign Minister Andriy Sybiha and Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskyy.
