Ukraine holds lines on Pokrovsk axis, control railway positions – 7th Rapid Response Corps

Ukrainian Defense Forces are holding the designated lines in the northern part of Pokrovsk, and also control positions south of the railway, which are important for further de-occupation, the 7th Rapid Response Corps of the Airborne Assault Forces of the Armed Forces of Ukraine has said.

"The enemy is trying to cross the railway to increase the area of occupation of the city, but our military is blocking these attempts. The enemy's troops in Pokrovsk are being exhausted. As a result, the enemy is having to replenish losses among personnel," the message on social networks says.

The Armed Forces of Ukraine said that the Russian command has already deployed the operational reserve of the Center Airborne Division - units of the 76th Airborne Division of the Russian Federation - in the area of responsibility of the corps.

The Defense Forces emphasized that in order to counter the further advance of the enemy and conduct clean-ups in Pokrovsk, the Defense Forces are increasing their own grouping, in particular the number of UAV crews.

"One of the key tasks of our defenders remains the complete blocking of the enemy's logistical routes to the city, including with the use of tactical and army aviation," the report says.

As noted in the 7th Corps, the northern outskirts of Myrnohrad are being cleared of enemy infantry.

"We are also attracting additional resources to detect and eliminate the enemy, whose movement has been recorded in the southern part of the city. A small number of enemy groups tried to infiltrate Hryshyn, which is northwest of Pokrovsk. But the Ukrainian military detected and eliminated the enemy in time," the 7th Corps said.
