Zelenskyy briefs Costa on the progress of Geneva peace plan talks
Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskyy has informed European Council President António Costa about yesterday’s meetings of advisers in Geneva, in particular about the positions of the parties and the progress of the negotiations.
"It is very important that Ukraine participates in the development of the EU common position on an equal footing. We value respect. I informed the president about yesterday’s meetings of advisers in Geneva, in particular about the positions of the parties, the progress of the negotiations and key priorities. We continue to work conscientiously to achieve peace in Europe," Zelenskyy wrote on the X social network on Monday.
As previously reported, Costa discussed the situation regarding peace efforts with Zelenskyy on the eve of the informal meeting of EU leaders.
"I spoke with Volodymyr Zelenskyy on the eve of today’s informal meeting of EU leaders on peace efforts in Ukraine to get his assessment of the situation," Costa said on X.
