Ukrainian Foreign Minister Andriy Sybiha opened a Ukrainian vice-consulate in Rzeszow, Poland, the Foreign Ministry's press service reported.

"The new vice-consulate will become Ukraine's sixth consular office in Poland and will provide consular support to approximately 60,000 Ukrainians in the Rzeszów, Przemysl, Jarosław, and Bieszczady counties," the Telegram channel stated.

Sybiha noted that ensuring the proper rights of Ukrainian citizens abroad and simplifying access to consular services provided by the state is a priority for the Ministry of Foreign Affairs.

"Wherever Ukrainians are today, they should know for sure: the consul is nearby, the state is nearby, they are remembered, their interests will be represented, and their rights will be protected," he emphasized.

It is noted that expanding Ukraine's diplomatic presence in Poland will strengthen support for Ukrainian citizens, promote cross-border cooperation, and strengthen ties between the Ukrainian and Polish peoples.

Soon, the new vice-consulate will begin providing a full range of consular services to Ukrainian citizens residing within the consular district, which covers the Rzeszów, Przemyśl, Jarosław, and Bieszczady counties.
