A meeting between Ukrainian and Polish Presidents Volodymyr Zelenskyy and Karol Nawrocki could take place before the end of the year, according to Ukraine’s Ambassador to Poland Vasyl Bodnar.

"We are working to ensure that a meeting between Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskyy and Polish President Karol Nawrocki takes place as soon as possible, hopefully this year in Warsaw," Bodnar said on RMF24 radio.

He added that the Ukrainian side offered to meet with the president this week. "We are awaiting Poland’s response and are working on the content of the entire visit," he added.

The meeting between the politicians is reported to take place in Warsaw.

"First, there will be the security issue related to Russia’s war against Ukraine and the peace talks. Of course, there will be military cooperation and cooperation in the defense industry. In addition, there will be economic cooperation, including reconstruction. And also historical issues related to the exhumations [of victims of Volyn tragedy]," the Ukrainian ambassador to Poland responded to a question about the planned agenda for the meeting between the presidents of Poland and Ukraine.
