Dovzhenko-Centre to receive additional funding in 2025

The Ministry of Culture of Ukraine together with the State Film Agency of Ukraine have settled the financial issues of the State Enterprise Oleksandr Dovzhenko National Centre that arose in 2025, the Dovzhenko-Centre said.

In a statement, the Dovzhenko Centre said, "The necessary funds were redistributed by the State Film Agency of Ukraine within the budget program, which ensured the Centre's operations, including the timely payment of salaries and utility services."

Thanks to the redistribution of budget funds, the Dovzhenko Centre will be able to fulfill its mission. The institution will continue to preserve, research, and popularize Ukrainian cinema.

The statement also said, "The Ministry of Culture, the State Film Agency, and the Dovzhenko Centre are jointly developing solutions that will strengthen the institution's financial capacity and autonomy in 2026."

In early December, the state-owned enterprise Oleksandr Dovzhenko National Centre reported underfunding for 2025 and insufficient planned funding for 2026.
